Early solo years at Motown
During the early years Michael was not given the artistic control on these four albums. He was trapped by the unwillingness of the label to give him anything to do other than follow shifting trends. Nevertheless, there are a lot of gems scattered throughout each of the album which came from Michael sheer talent and charisma.

Hello World: The Motown Solo Collection (2009)
|
This is the definitive Michael's Motown solo collection. The works for this collection was long before Michael passing, with target release in July 2009. It consists of all Michael solo albums plus un-released tracks at Motown which is a reminder of how gifted he was from the start. There's a lot to celebrate on Hello World: The Motown Solo Collection, beyond hits like ''Rockin' Robin'' and ''Ben.'' From
a previously unreleased master of his winsome take on the Supremes' ''I Hear a Symphony'' to the inclusion of original liner notes and album art, it's a gift for completists and fans alike.
