 Universal has officially announced plans to bring the 1978 musical “The Wiz” to Blu-ray Disc on November 30th. Tech specs include full 1080p Hi-Def video and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound on a BD-50 (50 gigabyte dual-layered Blu-ray Disc).

The event took place at the Museum of Dance and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs. Michael definitely deserves to be inducted into the Dance Hall of Fame, his contributions to the craft are undeniable, and evident anew with each and every generation of dancers. He was an innovator, a true visionary. His legacy is going to continue to inspire countless people indefinitely.
